Refurbishment at Steele’s Terrace, Ennis
A reinvigorated century-old house.
This end-of-terrace house built in 1912 was bought in a dilapidated state but with most of the original features in place. The main job was to strip the recent additions including dropped ceilings and old fireplaces and to bring the building to modern standards through insulation, plumbing and electrical work. Great care was taken in choosing appropriate finishes and colours to accentuate the varying characters of the rooms. Space saving solutions included an overhead loft bed and utility press all of which were fundamental to making this compact house work functionally.
